Q. How can I participate?
  It's easy. All you need to do is be a register with a username and password in MedCenter Forum.  It only takes a few minutes to sign up. Then you can begin posting questions and answers immediately.
Q. What are the basic rules of MedCenter Forum?
 

This is a professional forum, so we ask that everyone to treat their online colleagues with respect. Please write clear questions and responses. Re-read everything you write before posting, to be sure your message has clarity and will make sense to everyone.

Close your questions in a timely manner so you and your online colleagues can focus on other questions.

Please leave commercial and self promotions out of your messages posted in MedCenter Forum. Any postings containing inappropriate content or sounding purely commercial will be deleted by the Moderator. You risk having your membership cancelled, too.

Q. What's a Username?
  Your Username is your login ID for the MedCenterToday.com web site. When you register for the site, you select a Username and identify your specialty, i.e. Joseph, Cardiologist, or Susan, Pediatric Oncologist. Your Username is not changeable.
Q. How do I ask a question?
  First, you must be logged in. Second, you must have a Username. Third, click the academic med center topic you wish to discuss in the Forum box.  Click on the New Thread link in that topic. Follow the process described on the form stating your subject and post your comments. To preview what you have written, click on the Preview Post  button to make any edits. When you're finished click Submit Post. It's that simple.
Q. What do I do after I ask my question?
  Check back at least twice a week to review responses. You will be notified via email when your question has been answered.  An online colleague may ask you a question to clarify what you're looking for. Be sure to respond quickly, so you can keep the process moving. Remember some members may be traveling and it may take time for your question to get momentum.
Q. How do I clarify my question?
  Find your original question by using one of the category links across the top of the page. At the bottom of your question page you will see a message box. If no one has posted a response to your question yet, you can click the Edit link below your original message and edit it there.
Q. How do I answer a question?
  All you need is a little subject matter expertise! Click the Search link in the Business Issues or Teaching Issues box to find questions you are interested in answering.  Click on Reply or Quote to answer the question.
Q. Can I get an email when responses are posted?
 

Yes, you will automatically receive emails each time a new response is added for a question you posted.

Q. Will you give my email address to advertisers?
 

Absolutely not! We will never sell or rent your email address to anyone. WE VALUE YOUR PRIVACY! We hate spam as much as you do. Read our Privacy Policy, for more info.

Q. What is the role of the Moderator?
  The Moderator's responsibility is to answer your questions about how MedCenter Forum operates and to monitor that the Code of Conduct is being upheld.
